Technologies
High-Resolution Digital PET
The integrated light guide digital detectors inside the uMI 550 consist of silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) and fine 2.76 mm lutetium-yttrium oxyorthosilicate (LYSO) crystals. This provides exceptional image quality with 2.9 mm NEMA resolution that improves quantitative accuracy and small lesion detectability.
80-Slice Ultra-Low Noise CT
The 80-slice diagnostic CT is built upon the novel Z-Detector which offers ultra-low electronic noise, significantly improving image quality. Utilizing 34,560 elements and a 0.55 mm individual element size, the uMI 550 provides high-resolution CT images to visualize fine details of small anatomic structures.
24 cm Axial Field of View (FOV)
With a large axial PET FOV and high system sensitivity, the uMI 550 can acquire a whole-body scan in four beds within eight minutes. High-speed scanning increases patient throughput and system utilization rate, while high system sensitivity boosts data acquisition and enables low-dose PET scans.
Advanced Technologies
The uMI 550 offers tailor-made solutions to our customer’s needs and may have technologies such as TOF, PSF, head movement correction, correction of artifacts derived from metal implants and prospective and retrospective respiratory gating which expand clinical prospects for every practice.
