With currently more than 200 studies and publications in the field of pulse wave analysis (PWA), the Mobil-O-Graph® PWA is one of the most widely approved and best devices worldwide when it comes to measuring central blood pressure and arterial stiffness. The new “MAD-c2” measurement algorithm records the central blood pressure better than all other central blood pressure monitors currently on the market. Combined with the HMS CS analysis software, the Mobil-O-Graph® PWA offers innovative new possibilities within risk classification, diagnostics and patient management. Individual patient management in this way leads to greatly improved patient compliance in the field of hypertension management.
Biomarker:
“Mobil-O-Graph PWA® gives a much better assessment of cardiovascular risk and individually selected application of anti hypertensive therapy, in this way we can determine correct time for patient to take medicine and we monitor the effect of anti-hypertensive treatment applied not only to the blood pressure values, but also on central blood pressure. More significant is that we can determine effect of drugs on the elasticity of blood vessels (monitoring changes in @75 values and pulse wave).
In this way, we have much better picture of prognostic monitoring of target organ damage such as heart, brain, kidneys, peripheral blood vessels…
This diagnostic procedure eliminates errors in diagnosis of hypertension because we are able to diagnose white coat hypertension, white coat effect (thus preventing incorrect diagnosis of resistant hypertension and hypertension camouflage).
The special significance of this device is in the diagnosis of pseudo hypertension of older patients/persons where we have higher values of blood pressure measured at brachial artery then the value of the central pressure which are real values so we can determine adequate hypertension diagnosis and appropriate therapy.”
