Device for air sterilization
The device is a UVGI (ultraviolet germicidal irradiation) recirculation unit for air sterilisation.
The germicidal action is implemented through the elimination of the microbial load in the air in safe conditions by exploiting short wavelength UV radiation (in UV-C spectrum).
These radiations kill microorganisms thus reducing the bacterial load in the air.
The operation is based on a closed cycle forced ventilation system. The air suctioned into the module first passes through a filter where larger pollutants are blocked. It then enters inside and comes into direct contact with the UV-C radiations which perform the maximum germicidal action. Finally, air is exhausted by the outlet vent thus determining environmental microbiological elimination. Its greatest advantage consists in being perfectly safe for people since there is no UV-C radiation leakage otherwise harmful.
The appliance is capable of processing a flow rate of 120 m3/h. Approximately 3 hours after installation, it reaches 90% airborne bacterial load elimination.
